TOK OEI KEE (JEN) | 卓慧綺

SINGAPOREAN
b. 1970

Exclusively represented by Confluence Art Space, Tok Oei Kee (Jen) is a Singapore-based contemporary artist whose practice explores memory, ecology, and place. Through painting and mixed media, Tok investigates how natural environments function as living archives, preserving personal narratives, cultural histories, and ecological memory. Drawing inspiration from Singapore's waterways, gardens, and biodiversity, JenTok's works examine the interconnected relationships between people and the natural world. Her practice is rooted in close observation of local ecosystems, where native flora, fauna, and freshwater landscapes become both subject and metaphor for remembrance, belonging, and environmental stewardship. In 2025, her work Whispers of the Garden was awarded the Silver Award in the Emerging Artist Category at the UOB Painting of the Year competition and was subsequently exhibited at the UOB Discovery Space, National Gallery Singapore. Tok holds a Diploma in Art Teaching from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and will commence the Master of Arts in Arts and Ecology programme at LASALLE College of the Arts in August 2026.
