Days of Yore, a group exhibition of 19 exquisite works by nine Nanyang artists — the titans of Singapore art Chen Wen Hsi, Cheong Soo Pieng, Lim Cheng Hoe, and Liu Kang, as well as important second-generation artists Lim Tze Peng, Tan Choh Tee, Siew Hock Meng, Leng Joon Wong, and Wee Shoo Leong. There is art that has come to influence the present, art that recorded scenes long gone, and art which has us indulging in nostalgic reminiscence. Days of Yore features art from the three categories, all of which represent significant moments in time. Through art, we can express, remember, and honour them.
