“The Storytellers” is a group exhibition showcasing the works of five artists from the historic Singapore Academy of Arts, namely pioneer female artist, Sun Yee, and her students Eng Siak Loy, Tong Chin Sye, Wee Kong Chai, and Yeo Kim Seng. Each painting narrates a story, not through words but through the expressive language of brushwork and colour. Our artists are Storytellers in their own right, weaving personal and collective histories into their canvases. Their work invites viewers not merely to look, but to read, to feel, and to interpret – engaging in a silent dialogue that transcends language and time.
